Service Advisory - Reduced Water Supply on Southern Networks
WASCO wishes to advise customers supplied by the southern water networks that service continues to be severely affected due to significantly drier-than-normal conditions currently being experienced.
While water levels are currently low across all of our networks, communities supplied by the following systems are among the most affected:
Our operations teams are actively carrying out valving to maximize the available supply across the networks.
Where valving operations are insufficient to restore service - particularly to customers located at higher elevations or at the extreme ends of the system - water trucking is being deployed where feasible.
As Saint Lucia relies entirely on the abstraction of surface water from rivers and streams, our ability to provide a more consistent supply remains constrained until rainfall improves. WASCO continues to work to optimize the distribution system and allow storage tanks adequate time to replenish so that service can be restored as equitably as possible. We strongly encourage all customers to avoid non-essential water use, and to to conserve water where possible.
